Michael Annett Texas Preview

Michael Annett’s best NXS finish at TMS came in April 2012, when he was ninth at the checkered flag. The driver of the No. 5 Camaro finished 12th in his most recent visit.

The 1.5-mile course at Texas has seen Annett run up front consistently. He’s led more laps there than on any other 1.5-mile track on the NXS schedule.

In 67 NXS starts on 1.5-mile tracks, Annett has logged a pair of top-five finishes and 14 in the top 10.

In his 11 starts at Texas, Annett has completed 98.6 percent of all laps attempted there.

Michael Annett Quote: “It’s good to get back to racing action at Texas, because we’ve been fairly consistent there over time. We had some positive takeaways from the first five races, but there is still some work to do to get the Pilot Flying J team where we need to be. These next five races, starting at Texas, are very important to the goal of making the Playoffs, and we need to be ready for the long stretch of races that will come after. (Crew chief) Jason Stockert and my No. 5 team are ready for that challenge.”
