Michael Annett Chicagoland Preview
Michael Annett has earned a top-five and three top-10 finishes in nine NXS starts at Chicagoland Speedway, topped by a fifth-place run in 2012.
Annett, a native of Des Moines, also counts Chicagoland as one of his “home” tracks, and it’s a huge market for sponsor Pilot Flying J.
In his nine NXS starts, the 32-year-old Annett has completed all but four of the 1,804 laps attempted during those races (99.8 percent).
Pilot Flying J returns to the No. 5 as primary sponsor for Chicagoland, marking the eighth start there for the driver-sponsor team.
Michael Annett Quote: “We were solid at Iowa, qualified well and raced pretty well too. We just need some momentum this season, and Chicagoland is a place where we’ve been able to put results on the board. We need to do that, because the races before the playoffs are counting down and we still have work to do to get there.”
