Michael Annett Charlotte Preview

Michael Annett’s best NXS finish at CMS is 10th, on two occasions. He placed there in the fall of 2012 and 2013.

In three starts on 1.5-mile ovals so far in 2018, Annett has led five laps, all at Texas Motor Speedway. His best finish on a 1.5-mile track this year is 13th at Las Vegas.

Annett’s drive toward the NXS Playoffs is picking up steam. Through 10 races, he sits 14th in points, just 23 points out of 12th place.

The Charlotte race kicks off a four-event stretch of solid tracks for Annett in Pocono, Michigan and Iowa. He earned a sixth-place finish at Iowa in 2017, and ran solidly at both Pocono and Michigan.

Michael Annett Quote: “The break was good for us, giving us time to recap what we did in the first 10 races and plan for the next several. We’ve had a lot of good things happen this year, but it seems like every time we get a little bit of momentum in a race, something bad happens. Our Pilot Flying J Chevrolets have been fast this year and we’ve had good strategy, but not a whole lot of luck. We’ll try to change that beginning this weekend at Charlotte.”
