Michael Annett Talladega Preview

The last time Michael Annett raced at Talladega, he earned his best-career finish at the superspeedway in NXS competition with a seventh-place result.

The Iowa native races well on restrictor-plate tracks. Last year in Alabama, Annett led six laps and raced in the top group all day.

Annett is just 39 points out of the playoffs after eight races, sitting 14th in points. In 2017, his first season with JRM, Annett made the postseason field to give the team four cars in the NXS Playoffs.

In his five restrictor-plate starts with JRM, including Indianapolis in 2017, Annett has averaged an 11.4-place finish.

Michael Annett Quote: “We have run a lot better than we’ve finished the last few races, and Talladega gives us a chance to turn that around. I’ve run well at Talladega during my career, and as fast as the Pilot Flying J Chevy has been this season, I feel pretty good about the chance to get a solid finish. We’ve had speed all season, and our team has been doing all the right things to make it happen. We are looking to run at the front, lead some laps and get a lot of points this weekend.”
