Michael Annett Bristol Preview

Michael Annett enters this week’s race at Bristol in hopes of posting a second straight top-10 finish on the .533-mile oval. The 31-year-old Iowan was 10th there in the spring.

Annett is seeking some breathing room for the playoffs. He’s currently 45 points ahead of the point cutoff with five races yet to run.

Annett has four top-10 finishes in 10 starts at Bristol, with a best of sixth in 2011. His average finish at Bristol is 13.6, one of his better tracks in that regard.

Quote: “After two road courses in a row, it will be nice to get back to what we do the majority of the season. I’ve run pretty well at Bristol in the past, and we were 10th in the spring, so we’ll take our Pilot Flying J Chevy up there this weekend and try to do it again. The playoffs are approaching, and it’s time to get some momentum going.”
